Neoplastic utopia is a term taken from the thoughts and paintings of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian about the intersecting elements of urban life that formed a harmony between traffic, buildings, fashion, jazz, and dance. In studying the work of Mondrian, I became fascinated with this term and hope to explore it and concepts of design, art and utopia in various spaces that I encounter in a world that has changed significantly since the time of Mondrian.
